Since its inception in 1985, the Turtle Island String Quartet has been a force in the creation of bold new trends in chamber music for strings. Boyd Jones - 05.07.06     Jacoby Symphony Hall


Boyd Jones performs extensively throughout the United States on both organ and harpsichord in addition to his duties as University Organist and Professor of Organ at Stetson University, DeLand, Florida. Recent seasons have included performances for the American Guild of Organists, The Organ Historical Society, Southeastern Historical Keyboard Society and the national convention of the Music Teachers National Association. He has also performed throughout Japan in a 1996 tour. Jones is the author of articles for numerous publications and was the American correspondent for the English journal Choir and Organ. He has also served as consultant for several significant organ projects.

Thomas Murray - 01.29.06


Thomas Murray, concert organist and recording artist, is University Organist and Professor of Music at Yale University. Widely known for his interpretations of Romantic repertoire and orchestral transcriptions, his recordings are highly acclaimed. His performing career is increasingly international in scope with performances in Japan, Europe, Russia and South America. Murray has made numerous recordings on various recording labels, with his most recent release for JAV, a 2-CD set on the Newberry Memorial Organ in Woolsey Hall at Yale University.

Marvin Mills with Ritz Chamber Players - 02.19.06


Marvin Mills, organist and Associate Minister of Music at National City Christian Church in Washington, D.C. is a frequent featured recitalist for the American Guild of Organists and guest soloist with symphonies, performing throughout the United States. His schedule has included the Pittsburgh Symphony, the Peabody Symphony of Baltimore and the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra. He will be joined in his 2006 appearance with the celebrated Ritz Chambers Players, led by Artistic Director and clarinetist Terrance Patterson.

Peter DuBois - 03.05.06


Peter DuBois holds the position of Director of Sacred Music Diploma Program of Eastman School of Music. He is also a noted soloist, performing at colleges, AGO chapters and churches throughout the United States and Europe. He has appeared at the Piccolo Spoleto Festival, Washington National Cathedral, Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington D.C., and Notre Dame de Paris. He has also been a frequent guest on the nationally syndicated radio programs Pipe Dreams and With Heart and Voice, and is a featured organist on several CD recordings.
